I've been busy nesting with a lot of washing, fixing, and folding of all the tiny clothes and blankets we've acquired by donation (thank you Bree, Brook, and Liz!) and by clearance purchases (thank you Target!). Thankfully we have a very energy and water efficient washer, which makes the trusty old dryer's job short and sweet.
I didn't think I would be all that into readying our neutral baby's closet, but it just hit me the other day. The desire to get the baby stuff properly put away overwhelmed me. Plus, it's really fun folding, unfolding, and refolding the tiny clothes!
The not-one-cloth-diaper-to-be-found "diaper drawer."
(And where does one store bibs anyway? The kitchen?)

The big drawer with everything: towels, sleeping gowns, sleeper/play outfits, short-sleeved onsies, soft pants, and flannel receiving blankets, and cuddle blankets. I'm using Chris' old dresser as our changing station or "un-loading" dock. Here's more detail of what I fit into that big drawer.Neutral onsies
Hooded towel and wash cloths from Pam, plus a bunch from Brook stacked under this one.
And in the last drawer, I have gender specific items.
Chris and I were given an abundant supply of boy clothes from Brook, so Bree went to Target with us to boss us around. No, I mean she acted as a bossy guide. (Just teasing!) What I mean is she helped us make the final decision in what to "splurge" on. Bree, you were an awesome help to us! Thank you for encouraging me to buy a couple pink things in case we have a girl =]
Girly-Land...because a girl just needs a few little hearts here and a couple polka dots there.
One of four cutie dresses (from Brook)
Sleeper/play outfits (2 from Liz, colorful one from Target)
And we don't have our crib yet, but we got a neutral bumper from Bree and a girly bumper
(I can't believe it was only $5!) at Target. I had taken some pictures of the different outfits we have, but then I accidentally deleted them (I get a little over-efficient in computer document cleanup). The point was to show that we have sufficient outfits for the first three months of Mo's life. How greatly our needs have been met! We asked the Lord and we received more than we could have thought we needed, not to mention favor at Target. I still want to pick up several white, long-sleeved onsies and some tiny baby socks to keep Mo's little appendages nice and toasty!
