Noodles

Chris and I like to grocery shop on Mondays. By recommendation, we are most likely switching to Thursdays because the shelves are fully stocked. Last time we went (to Wegmans), there was not much to pick from in the produce section. There were huge blank spaces where bags of organic apples should've been (we settled for the mediocre Empire apples that we could see our reflections in because of the 1,000 coats of wax sprayed on them) and a large void where the celery usually was and a big hole where mushrooms were supposed to be. So, with that in mind, I knew I had to go back to the store again before the weekend so I could make the chicken noodle soup I have on the menu. It just doesn't taste great without the celery, ya know? Thursday evening, we ventured out for organic celery and there was a truckload to choose from.
This morning, I was preparing food to freeze for the following weeks after "Mo's" birthday. My list is as follows.

Thawed chicken stock for soup broth. Check.
Forgotten celery bought yesterday night. Check.
Choppped veggies for chicken noodle soup. Check.
Meatballs. Check.
Prep for spinach lasagna: chop onions and garlic. Check.
Open cans of tomatoes and sauce. Check.
Cook 9 lasagna noodles. What? Where are the noodles?

Well, I would have made lasagna today, but I have forgotten to buy the noodles. Twice.
Maybe I should plan on shopping 3 days a week instead of just one.
