Very Big in Bathrooms

Lately, Ajay has been in hot pursuit of our bathroom. It's a very cute bathroom, soothing and calming, but a space I don't really qualify as baby-crawling/licking grounds.

He has been showing so much persistence recently anyway, but his interest in the big white seat that makes the awesome flushing sound and how it makes for a bangin' drum has been a constant endeavor.

Finally, I convinced my self to get my clean-on in there so the baby could go on an adventure in "The Foreign Land."

When he discovered that he could pull the curtain back, he got a little peek into the tub. His eyes widened and his arms started flapping with excitement. When I asked him if he wanted to take a big boy bath, he looked at me like, "Please get me in there ASAP!"

(Look at his little sucked-in belly!!!)

Our sweet guy has known just one bath, his first and only bath up until this past Saturday night. His baby smooth skin has only felt about 20 showers (no, he doesn't stand in there). If you do the math, that's a full-body wash about every 2 weeks.

Of course, we love him to be clean and to smell baby fresh, but we also want to protect his soft skin from over-scrubbing and over-drying. So, in order to keep his main touchies clean, he's been given sponge baths (washing face, neck, hands, and feet) every week and a half, give or take a few days.

Would you want to dry out this little softy? I don't think so!

Obviously, getting in to the tub was no problem. I just introduced him to the spigot cover, Mrs. Frog, and Ajay was showing me that he was ready [insert monkey bars, aka me, here].

This great rinsing-cup was mainly used for drinking, but don't worry.
The baby wash is all natural.
You know he was laughing and looking all about, and chatting a little, but the photos of that didn't turn out that well. Plus, our really nice camera has a silly delay, so we usually miss those "Kodak" moments on film, but that's okay. We watched him experience this new independence with much intent!
Hey! We got one!
Eventually, Ajay's toes began looking like peach raisins,
so I washed his head
and
we
noticed
this:

(And that little bum-bum is the squeaky-cutest-and-cleanest in town!!)

Hey there...our little Eva has a built in sensor for when the bathroom door has been left open. She literally RUNS for the chance to get into that bowl of splashy fun. Because we live in a house with three other potty users, it is difficult to keep door closed and lid down all the time! Needless to say....we've had to fish her chubby hands out of the porcelain "water park" twice now - YUK!! She got a bath then too....a crazy scrub down - I'm surprised that she has skin left after the cleaning that mama gave her!! :-)
Ah, adventures in motherhood!!

He is just the cutest little boy. Seriously, how many times a day do you kiss and nuggle that soft round noggin??? Hard to resist...
