Block-Jeeps and Brick-Trucks and Trains, Oh My!

First of all, thank you for checking our blog on a regular basis!
I know Mom has been looking in multiple times a day
and I wanted to give an extra special, extra long, kickoff the year post on her behalf.

So instead of my original idea for a Happy New Year/Happy New Blog Layout post,
I'll just get right into the wonderful grass-fed meat of things.

He has become quite natural at building.
Our [dinky] wood block collection is a bit too advanced for his age,
but ever since my sister and her kids gifted their collection of
Lego Duplo blocks to Ajay a few months ago.
it has been a regular activity during our playtimes.

These pictures are just samples of the countless things Ajay has been building.
Chris and I both build alongside him,
and except for the big structure in the background,
all of these are "Bunty-the-Builder's" ideas.

There is a lot to see, so click on a photo to enlarge and enjoy the slide-show!
"Drive it to Mommy for a picture!"
Fancy tower.  One of his first.
Recognize this face? (Hint: Fa La La Bunnies)

Wow.  This train has 'awesome' written all over it.
"Choo Choo Chain!"
I think this little truck is so cute!  Don't you?
Ajay's idea for a display?  Not exactly.  This is decretive pillow off-roading.
He has his typical serious-face on while building.
This stuff takes concentration!
I built him a garage and he figured out he could park his jeeps and trucks in it.
(Do you see what I see?)
All of the train-bases must have been used because this is the first time he built one without wheels.
I would call this one a high-skill level creation because of the left side being built on air.
He really had to think about each piece fitting without the thing tipping or breaking.
Cool.
"Yeah, my mom gets me!"

(Look deeply into those big milk-chocolatey eyes!)
He is becoming so inventive.
Building vehicles for our imaginative play is only half the fun.
You'll see for yourself when you come over and play with us!
We'll be waiting...
